The Public Service Commissioner is appointed by the Queen’s Representative on the advice of the Prime Minister. The Commissioner is a Strategic Policy Advisor to Cabinet, a Policy Maker for the public service and Human Resource Manager for Heads of the Public Service. The Commissioner has collective accountability with Cabinet for the performance of the public service. The Office of the Public Service Commissioner (OPSC) supports effective delivery of the Commissioner's functions, identified in the Public Service Act 2009. Our office is open between the hours of 8am and 4pm (GMT-10hrs), Monday to Friday.
