Bio:
I have worked for the National Environment Service for the past 30 years in various positions. I am currently the Executive Officer in our Administration office. When I first started at NES, I applied for the Environment Council Secretariat and I was doing all kinds of work, especially administrative work, field officer and the media and awareness person.
I have learnt so much being at NES and find myself expressing my views regarding the environment when I am around my own family, especially when explaining what not to do in the 3 areas (foreshore/wetland/slopes) of concern under our Environment Act. I even scold my family if they don’t separate their rubbish.
I can be an environment champion! All I have to do is say it with action, kia tuatuaia, mate rave atu ite au mea tau kia taporoporoia!
