Name: Roselyn Strickland
Bio: I have been the Policy and Legal Advisor at NES for the past 9 months. I am an in-house consultant that works together with NES Senior Policy Analyst, most particularly for the National Environmental Policy & Legislative Project currently undertaken by the agency. I spent a great deal of time reading and analyzing information related to the agency. Some of my key responsibilities include; informing the senior policy analyst and management team on various issues involved in the policy, engaging in conversations, conducting legal research, planning, consulting and providing legal information to the agency. Working at NES has been an opportunity and a learning curve for myself personally and professionally. I have become a better version of myself than who I was yesterday. I have also attained critical and analytical thinking in terms of my role. Overall, the awesome team I work with has been a great source of my personal and professional growth. To be an environment champion requires motivation and selflessness. Always be willing to learn and practice good environmental practices internally and externally. Most importantly, enjoy what you do and do it wholeheartedly.
