Session 2 of the conference kick-started well on time, with the topic of discussions on Environmental studies during exploration and the application of the precautionary approach. The session is an overview of exploration activities undertaken by contractors in support of the assessment of potential risks to the environment and their impacts.
Day 2 session began with a presentation by CIIC Seabed Resources Ltd, General Manager, Eusenio Fatialofa on Environmental studies during Exploration and the Application of the precautionary approach.
Our very own SBMA GIS Officer, Rima Browne, ended the session with her presentation on the Collection of data and information: development of the Information Management System for the Cook Islands SBMA - Case Study.
