The Office of the Public Service Commissioner and the Cook Islands public service are dedicated to enhancing public service delivery for all Cook Islanders.
While continually improving services we also maintain a forward-looking approach to ensure the public service remains responsive to the evolving needs of Cook Islanders in a changing world.
The Commission's core responsibilities include providing leadership and oversight of the public service, as well as ensuring the Public Service Act is properly implemented. When investigating issues, our staff may conduct in-depth research to develop new insights and understandings. This reflective practice allows staff to gain a deeper comprehension of the problems at hand.
The collection of papers, commissioned, written, or contributed to by Office of the Public Service Commissioner staff aims to deepen our understanding of the challenges facing the public service. By sharing these ideas and analyses with a wider audience, we hope to inform and encourage public debate, ultimately guiding our work to improve how public services are delivered for Cook Islanders.
