Nominations
Only Heads of Public Service agencies and Crown agents can nominate public servants for the Public Service Commissioner’s Commendation for Service. It is awarded to employees who have committed their lives to serving Cook Islanders.
Criteria
At the time of nomination, the nominee must be employed by a Public Service agency or Crown agent
Nominations must be endorsed by the employee’s current Head of Agency
There must be no integrity issues in relation to the nominee, that the agency is aware of, that could bring the Public Service into disrepute
Process
Nominations can be submitted at any time by email
Certificates will be printed and distributed during the year
Nominations can be provided in advance so that a certificate is ready to present on an upcoming anniversary. We recommend planning ahead for this, so we can help you celebrate these milestones
We will confirm receipt of nominations
Delivery
We will deliver a printed certificate, signed by the Public Service Commissioner, to your Head Office
The certificate will be delivered in a presentation folder
Agencies are responsible for framing and presenting the certificate
