At the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management (MFEM), we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of financial management and accountability within the public sector. As a trusted advisor and service provider to government, we play a crucial role in shaping financial policies and ensuring the prudent use of public funds.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports for government.
• Completion of GL reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and policies.
• Contribute to the updates of the Government financial policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with auditors and other external parties to ensure transparency and accountability.

What We’re Looking For:
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; studying towards or already obtained CPA, CA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years demonstrated accounting experience in a related field.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and previous use of accounting software preferred.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and public sector financial management.
