The Public Service Commissioner is appointed by the King’s Representative on the advice of the Prime Minister and has collective accountability with Cabinet for the performance of the Public Service.
The Commissioner provides strategic policy advice to Cabinet, sets human resources policy for the Public Service and is the Manager for Heads of Ministries.
Our office is open between the hours of 8am and 4pm (GMT-10hrs), Monday to Friday.

The Cook Islands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration is seeking a suitably qualified and
experienced individual for the following position:
Smaller Island States (SIS) Officer - Pacific and Regional Affairs Division
The purpose of this role is to assist in advising Government, the public service and other stakeholders
as appropriate on Smaller Island States affairs. As a Smaller Islands States Officer, you will assist in formulating recommendations to protect and promote the Cook Island's interests in its dealings with international partners and provide timely, high-quality policy advice to Government.
Key responsibilities of this role are relationship management and coordination, representation and negotiation, and the effectively facilitation and implementation of the SIS work programme.
