Qualification requirements:
• Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Postgraduate qualification in Engineering Technology, Infrastructure Projects, Project Management and Asset Management.

Experience:
• 10 years’ experience in managing, leading and directing a similarly complex organisation or major division in a medium to large sized organisation with work experience in an infrastructure related field
• You must have a strong understanding of Cook Islands Government Policies and Financial Management systems;

Proven leadership and management qualities in:
• Human resource management;
• Strategic planning;
• Ability to address maintain political neutrality and diplomatically manage controversial issues with multiple stakeholders.

The Ministry of Education is seeking applications from a qualified, experienced, and motivated professional to lead the Ministry, schools and providers through technology supported teaching and learning. The Executive Management team is looking for a team player who will bridge the gap between technology and teaching and learning

Director – Information, Technology & Communications (ITC)

This position will be responsible for:

- Ensuring IT systems developed are responsive to meet the changing landscape of education across the Cook Islands,
- Ensuring quality IT support is provided to all education stakeholders, and
- Building on existing learning programmes to integrate technology across the curriculum.

This position requires a confident and experienced individual who is able to think innovatively and across the whole sector, liaise with a very broad range of stakeholders, and have the ability to prioritise and manage their time well to lead and motivate their team to meet quality outcomes and overall educational goals. Experiences in management and leadership roles is highly preferable with knowledge of the Cook Islands Education sector a plus; however, suitably qualified professionals will also be considered.
